TRUST OFFICER – TRUST SERVICES – PAID RELOCATION – WORK PERMIT SPONSORSHIP – ONLY 6% TAX
About this opportunity
Based in Bermuda, our client is a leader in providing corporate and trust administration services to local and international companies, partnerships and trusts. They are now recruiting for a Trust Officer.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful individual will be responsible for administering a complex portfolio of local and international trust companies while minimising corporate risk by ensuring compliance with the firm’s established policies and procedures.
Specifically, the successful applicant will also:
·         Manage and deliver quality corporate and trust administration services to an assigned portfolio of complex local and international companies and trusts
·         Ensure that annual company, business filing and license fees payable in accordance with relevant legislation are collected and remitted accordingly
·         Complete all internal compliance documentation and maintain accurate and detailed trust and company records
·         Liaise with all interacting intermediaries including corporate administrators, bankers, protectors, investment advisors, settlors and beneficiaries
·         Organise and attend Board and Shareholder meetings for companies, and Trustee meetings to assist with drafting minutes and resolutions as required
What you'll need
·         Formal qualification (e.g. ICSA or STEP) or other related university or tertiary qualification
·         A minimum of 5 years’ trust administration experience
·         A strong working knowledge of the Companies Act 1981, Trustee Act 1975 and statutory regulations relating to the administration of companies and trusts in Bermuda
·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically MS Word. Experience using ViewPoint or similar corporate/trust administration database would be an asset
·         Ability to multi-task and work flexibility as part of a team demonstrating time management skills with the capability to thrive under pressure
·         Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
·         Ability to deal effectively and courteously with clients, attorneys and colleagues, and exercise discretion and confidentiality in all matters
